NAVI MUMBAI: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT), Port owned Container Terminal handled 131,991 TEUs Container traffic in August-2015, which is highest ever cargo handled by JNPCT since its inception. The previous record was 131,234 TEUs in April-2006. The growth over previous month is 4.07% and 11.05% over same month last year. In the month of July 2015, terminal had handled 1,26,000 TEUs, which again was quite high as compared to corresponding month of July 2014 figure of 1,19,000 TEUs. In FY2015-16 (Apr to Aug) Traffic handled is 583,648 TEUs, registering a growth of 2.23% over same period last year.
